The Benefits of Rosehip Oil For The Skin

Posted by Stem Organics Admin on

Extracted from the seeds of a specific variety of rose, namely Rosa aff. rubiginosa or Rosa moschata, rosehip oil offers some remarkable benefits for the skin in terms of anti-aging.

The oil is extracted via a process called cold-press extraction method, which ensures that no nutrients are lost, and that the oil is still richly concentrated in it’s powerful array of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants.

Rosehip oil is one of our favourite oils here at Stem organics, and if you keep reading you’ll soon find out why!

Antioxidants Fight Free Radicals and Stimulate Collagen Production for a More Youthful Complexion

By now you are probably aware of the importance of antioxidants for an ageless complexion, and rosehip oil sure doesn’t disappoint!

Vitamin A can penetrate deep into the pores, due to its small molecules, where it amps up hydration levels in the skin’s cells.

Vitamin C, our favourite beauty antioxidant, helps to fight off inflammation and free radicals, while promoting the formation of collagen, to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, and ensure the skin stays taut and plump.

Fatty Acids Bring The Radiance and Reduce the Appearance of Scars

Fatty acids are essential for ensuring the skin stays healthy and glowing, and it is a key player in skin regeneration.

Fatty acids also have powerful anti-inflammatory properties, and this, along with the skin repairing properties of Vitamin A and Vitamin E can help to fade scars from an angry red or purple to a light pinkish hue that is easy to conceal with some mineral makeup!

Antioxidants Work Together To Provide Powerful Photo-aging Protection

The sun is one of the skin’s biggest enemies, and nothing ages the skin faster than too many years spent outdoors without any sun protection.

Over time the sun’s damage can show up as discolouration, sunspots and of cours, those dreaded wrinkles and fine lines. Prevention is always better than cure in our opinion, so what better time than now to start applying this miracle oil to your precious skin?

The sun decreases the production of collagen, but Vitamin C’s powerful antioxidant properties can help counteract this. Essential fatty acids, along with vitamin A, ensure that the skin is hydrated and helps to improve skin texture while reducing pigmentation. Fatty acids also rejuvenate the skin and increase cell turnover.

Spent too much time outdoors and now you are dealing with redness and irritation? Rosehip oil can soothe and reduce inflamed skin thanks to anti-inflammatory properties!

To enjoy the benefits of this super oil at home, then try out our products here at Stem! Rosehip oil works wonderfully by itself, but when combined with other powerful active ingredients, such as our key ingredients, namely aloe, kakadu plum and pomegranate, the results are truly incredible!
