As the cooler temperatures head our way, a weekend getaway might be on your mind. Afterall, what’s the gorgeous fall foliage and colours for if you can’t soak it in?
With the change in season, it’s normal to notice a few changes that happen when it comes to your skin so it becomes especially important to keep up with your skincare regime even as you travel.
To help you along we’ve put together five of our must have products that will help your skin stay hydrated as the drying weather approaches.
Keep Your Skin Hydrated
The first signs of cold weather is the first sign to up your skin’s hydration. You don’t want to be struggling with dry skin when all you want to do is enjoy some R&R. Start with a great moisturizer like our Hydrating Face Fluid which works to combat dry skin with organic Macadamia, Shea & Vitamin E.
Have normal or oily skin? Our Balancing Face Fluid would be a great choice for a seasonal moisturizer.
Opt For Gentle Cleansing
Did you know that a dip in temperatures can cause your skin to become much more sensitive? Moving between the cool air outside and warm air from central heating causes the skin to become dehydrated, thus making it more sensitive.
To help combat this dehydration use a gentle cleanser on your face like our Gentle Cleansing Milk which will get your skin clean without stripping it of much needed oils.
*Bonus tip: Ever notice that your lips tend to crack and become sore during these cooler months? Our Intensive Eye Serum goes a long way and can be applied around the lips too for added moisture.
Don’t Skip The Sunscreen
Just because it may be cooler now and you’ve switched margaritas by the pool for wine by the fireside, doesn’t mean you should skimp on your sunscreen. The UV index is just as strong as the seasons change so make sure to use a broad spectrum or full spectrum sunscreen with SPF of 30 as it will protect you from both UVA and UVB rays.
To get the most out of your topical sunscreen and increase its SPF by 25 percent, pack our Smooth Skin Exfoliant and use it 1-3 times per week.
All the recommendations come in travel friendly sizes and can fit into your carry on! If you’d like something a bit smaller, learn more about our Travel Companion Sets.
